i think as long as you keep your ends trimmed, get a high thread count pillow case (reduce split ends) and take good care of your hair, it will grow. i dont think mane and tail will do it alone. i also put carrot and olive oil in my hair. you can get it at a hair supply store.

You grow from the inside out so take vitamins, drink water and use good shampoo and conditioner so your hair doesn't get brittle and doesn't break off while you are trying to go it long and of course keep the ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks so it does split off either and you should be good to go!

Hair grows about 1/2 inch every month no matter what you do.

Taking good care of it and not having split ends will keep it from breaking off, so it will appear to be longer if those things were making it seem shorter, but nothing really makes it longer.

The original mane and tail shampoo did make your hair grow super fast. The problem was it was made for horses, not humans. The FDA made them change the formula because so many people were using it on their hair and it was causing some kind of side effects. I think some people actually lost hair using it. I don't know if the original formula is still around, but the one in stores is safe for humans. I don't think it makes hair grow any faster then any other shampoo.

I am not sure if it is actually true. I had a friend that used to use it and it did promote the growth of her hair, "we think". You shouldn't wash your hair everyday and only use conditioner on the ends to fight against split ends. Use a wide tooth comb b/c hair gets tangled in fine tooths and breaks. Let natural oil in the scalp build up it helps hair to grow faster.
