I've had trouble growing a beard in the past, and wondered whether wet shaving would help (I've only used an electric shaver so far). If so, why? And why doesn't an electric shaver cause hair to grow back thicker too?
Does shaving your face with a wet razor cause more hair to grow on your face?
I have never noticed that to be true. Hair is hair
Does shaving your face with a wet razor cause more hair to grow on your face?
nope there's nothing like that... its a wrong theory which i'm hearing for the first time...
Does shaving your face with a wet razor cause more hair to grow on your face?
No...cutting hair does NOT and never will make it grow back thicker. If that were the case after 40+ years of shaving, I should have hair like twigs growing out of my face....

No, Wetting the razor helps..keep you from getting knicks, and cuts..for a smoothe shave.

What you've got is what you get -- shaving methods, devices and regularity don't have any real effect
per Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaving#Sid...
"Many people traditionally believed that shaving would cause the hair shaved to become thicker and darker. However, this bit of conventional wisdom has been disproven. The resulting stubble only makes the hairs seem to be thicker, as a shaved hair has a blunt end as opposed to the tapered end of an unshaven hair, and because hair is often darker in color near the root. Clinical studies have demonstrated that shaving does not have an effect on hair growth rates or density"

I know a lot of the people above me don't think so, but I'm sure it does. for one, I've shaved since I was 12 and I hvae a great beard. my best freind has never taken a razor to his face, and at 30 he looks pretty much clean shaven.
Why do you thnk they tell women not to shave? it makes it grow back thick and dark.
