ok, this is what my dc. told me when I asked him the same question.... He said and I quote " prenatal pills are vitamins so taking them pregnant or NOT is good for you. It DOES promote hair growth and help your nails to be strong as well"... I still take them and I've not been pregnant for a while LOL, my dc said it's NOT A BAD CHOICE=c) (for females)

you should just get the ones for hair and nails... they have more vitamin e and something else in them... they sell them at wal mart... prenatal vitamins have an awful lot of iron and a few other things that your body might not like if not supporting a child.

My wife experienced a burst of hair growth while taking prenatal vitimins. Of course, she was also pregnant. So what caused the hair growth; the vitimans or the hormones that accompany pregnancy? Your guess is as good as mine. But I guess taking the vitamins wouldn't hurt to see if it helps.
