Is it true that eating peanut butter makes your hair grow faster?

I think I read it in some book a few years ago, but i could have read it wrong and I've been wondering for a while since i like like to grow out my hair to donate. Is it true?

Is it true that eating peanut butter makes your hair grow faster?

yes. Its true sort of. Its protein that helps hair growth. Also you can go to Vitamin World of GNC and purchase pills called Biotin for about $10 a bottle. You take one per day and drink lots of water and up the amount of protein you eat (peanut butter is one but high in fat), and your hair will be healthier, shinier, thicker and grow faster. But, also remember to get regular trims every 6-8 weeks or your ends will split and tear up the shaft and cause major breakage and you will feel like your hair isn't growing.
