How can I style my hair while waiting for it to grow out?!?

So I have had REALLY short hair (for a girl) for a long time now. I want to let my hair grow, not very long, just to maybe bob-length. However, in the past I got so sick of looking goofy while my hair grew out that I always ended up getting it cut back into my old style. Does anyone have any advice on how I can cope with this terrible in-between phase??

You will need to find a good stylist and have her work with you. It will take a little longer because you should be getting your hair shaped (trimmed) about every 6 to 8 weeks. But, your stylist can keep your hair cut to where you can manage it without it driving you crazy. I know because I grew mine out about 3 to 4 inches from a short style. Your stylist can also educate you on the use of different products to sculpt, shape, and hold your hair in place.

A good stylist is worth their weight in gold! lol

An inexpensive way is to wear a hat or get some barrettes or headbands! Plus, you can always make it look shorter by styling it with gel or curl it with mousse. Yeah...curling it could work! Anways, good luck! :]

There's beauty supply stores here (and some stylist/makeover places, also day spas that have computer programs that let you punch in what you look like now and then show your hair as it gorws an inch at a time so you and the stylist can work out each stage of the process.

Maybe you should get a trim right now to help it grow out faster? And still look clean.

Color it! I grew out my hair to my shoulders after having in spiked for years. I changed colors and styles along the way until it got longer. Took a while but it was worth it.
